NEW Hokianga and Waipoua Forest Private Tours
As a break from the stresses of moving our business from the North Shore of Auckland into Auckland city, a couple of weeks ago we spent a few days in the magnificent Hokianga region on Northland’s West Coast. During these days in the Hokianga, we
- visited the amazing Kauri Museum;
- planted a Kauri Tree (which we named Danica Matariki after our beautiful 2-year old daughter) as part of the Oranga Whenua Project;
- experienced a Footprints Waipoua Night Tour with a local Maori guide to the 2 largest Kauri trees in the world;
- relaxed for a couple of nights at the Copthorne Hokianga Hotel with million dollar views across the Hokianga;
- spent a day making our very own bone carving (which we now proudly wear);
- were amazed by the stunning scenery on a Sandtrails Hokianga tour to the top of the iconic sand dunes that overlook the first landing place of the legendary Polynesian explorer Kupe;
- stayed at beautiful and super-friendly accommodation in Mitimiti along one of the most beautiful beaches you will ever see with the wonderful Maori host who also owns Sandtrails Hokianga.
TIME Unlimited Tours has now created another innovative tour that to our knowledge has never been offered before. Our new Hokianga 3-day Private Tour will soon be added to our website but is already bookable.
